The 100 tonne end of our lowbed range
This is the top of the published lowbed range. At 100 tonnes you are moving cargo that is usually both very heavy and very large — the sort of load that needs permits, a route survey and, often, more than one escort before it moves at all.
At this weight the trailer is only part of the answer. What decides whether the move succeeds is how the load is spread: the number of axles and tires under it, the length over which the weight is supported, and how the deck is reinforced where the cargo actually sits. That is why we quote this model against your specific cargo rather than against a fixed catalogue number — the reinforcement that makes an 80 tonne trailer right for one job can be wrong for the next.
What it is normally used for
- Extra-heavy and oversized single pieces
- Wind-power components and large fabricated structures
- Extra-long or extra-wide cargo that will not fit a flatbed
- Heavy plant moves on routes where the surface is not guaranteed
Standard build and reinforcement
Q345 high-tensile main beam welded by automatic submerged-arc process; top flange 18mm × 140mm, middle flange 14mm × 500mm, bottom flange 20mm × 140mm; 8mm checkered-plate floor; mechanical suspension; 28T two-speed landing gear; WABCO RE6 relay valve with T30/30 spring brake chambers and 40L air tanks; ABS optional; LED lighting; sand-blasted chassis with one anti-corrosive primer coat and two topcoats.
Reinforced structure for difficult road conditions is a documented option across this range, and hydraulic or mechanical loading ladders are available. The full published table sits on our standard lowbed semi trailer page.
Axle configuration, axle rating and the reinforcement package are confirmed on your quotation. For a load this size, tell us the cargo dimensions, the gross weight and the route — that is what the build is designed around.
